Oils
A by-product extracted during the coal tar distillation process. Different types of Oils are extracted at different temperatures and  these have many uses:
 
Coat Tar By-Products : Oils
  • Light Creosote Oil
    Used as solvents for paints, asphalt liquefying, etc.
  • Heavy Creosote Oil and Wash Oil
     Used for the extraction of benzene from coke oven gas and for manufacture of phenolic oil as disinfectant.
  • Anthracene Oil
     Used as wood preservative oil, a feedstock for the manufacture of carbon black and an important raw material for the manufacture of coal tar enamel.
