Amit orchestrated the operationalisation and progressive scale-up of Himadri’s speciality carbon black production for battery-grade applications. He personally supervised the evolution of lithium-ion battery material facilities from pilot experimentation to full commercial readiness — underpinning the company’s ambitious ₹4,800 crore investment roadmap for LFP cathode active material production. Phase I, at 40,000 MTPA, is advancing toward commercial inauguration at the Odisha facility. The long-term vision reaches 200,000 MTPA — enough to serve 100 GWh of lithium-ion battery production.
When this facility attains operational fruition, it will be India’s first commercial-scale LFP cathode active material plant — and among the first beyond China’s borders to function at this magnitude.
